Return Policy

AVAILABILITY:

We Special Order your dress in the size and color you choose.  PromDress4U does not know the availability of each dress until the order is placed.  This is why a wear date is crucial to your order.  The staff has to special order your dress from the manufacturer and then and only then is the availability of each item based on your wear date known.

Please place your order with confidence, if your item is NOT available, Your Credit Card WILL NOT be charged and your order canceled.  You will be notified via e-mail of  the non-availability of your item and/or cancellation of your order.  Please keep note of our e-mails.

Please Note:  Your bank may "reserve" the funds in your account without ever taking the funds out until the order is fully processed and shipped by PromDress4U.   If the order is canceled the "reserve" on the funds will be lifted by your bank.  The time it takes to release the funds varies for each bank.  Typically, and this varies for each bank, a bank will remove the "reserve" on the funds within 3 to 5 business days.  For an accurate time, please contact your bank. 

ORDER PROCESSING:

Almost every Special Occasion retail dress store (including ours) has a NO refund/return/exchange policy for a couple reasons:

When we receive your dress from the manufacturer, we inspect the dress to be sure it is the correct style, color, and size. We also inspect all the beading, embroidery, the hems and seams. If we find anything wrong with the gown, we will contact the manufacturer for a replacement. BEFORE it gets to you!

Since we order your dress in the size and color that you choose, we cannot return them to the manufacturers.

COLORS & SIZING:

All the pictures on PromDress4U.com are obtained from the dress manufacturer and thus not responsible for the images.  The colors received may not be exactly as you see them on your monitor because each monitor has its color settings calibrated differently.  PromDress4U.com gos through a rigorous process to ensure that the products that you see are represented in the best and most accurate manner possible.

There are size charts available via the "Size Chart" link in the details for each dress.  The size chart allows you to associate a linear measurement to a dress size number for each manufacturer.  Please be aware that different manufacturers size their dresses differently and therefore you have to check the appropriate manufacturer size chart.  PromDress4U is not responsible for a dress not fitting correctly.  PromDress4U WILL NOT refund an order or item based on wrong.  This is because each dress is custom ordered for you.  Please see "AVAILABILITY:" above.

PRICING:

PromDress4U.com, Thoughts & Best Wishes, has decided not to price our gowns $75 to $100 over regular retail. We want our customers to have the lowest price possible. Since we do not do this, we cannot have specially ordered gowns returned to our inventory.

Formal gowns are a Special Occasion item (meaning you will only wear it a few times) and some people would want to wear the dress once and return it. Our policies allow us to pass huge savings on to our customers. We have over 1000 gowns currently available for order in our online store, unlike some online retailers that carry 50 or 100. We make the most extensive collection of gowns and guaranteed prices available to our customers. Stores that do accept returns (big retail chains), pad their prices to offset costs like returns or exchanges, and cannot guarantee the dress has never been worn.

This is our policy in both our retail store (our physical location since 1987) and our online store.

Just a little more info - This is the same policy of every retail store online that special orders gowns. If any other gown retailer online tells you differently, we advise that you read the "fine print." We watch our online competition closely and feel most are misleading in their return policy. Our policy is clear because we value our customers and want you to know everything before you buy.
